These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Tally website, application, and related services at meettally.io and app.meettally.io. By using Tally, you agree to these terms.
1. Who we are
Tally is a career documentation tool that helps people capture accomplishments, milestones, and work history over time. In these terms, "Tally," "we," "our," and "us" refer to the operators of the Tally service.
2. Eligibility and accounts
You must be at least 18 years old and able to form a binding contract to use Tally. If you create an account, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
3. Your use of the service
You may use Tally only in compliance with applicable law and these terms. You may not:
- Use the service to violate the law or another person's rights.
- Upload malicious code, interfere with the service, or attempt to gain unauthorized access.
- Reverse engineer, scrape, or reproduce the service except as permitted by law.
- Use Tally to store or share content you do not have the right to use.
- Use AI-generated outputs from Tally as a substitute for legal, tax, employment, or professional advice.
4. Your content
You retain ownership of the text, files, prompts, notes, voice input, and other content you submit to Tally. You give us a limited license to host, process, transmit, and display that content only as needed to operate, improve, secure, and support the service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your content is accurate, lawful, and appropriate to submit. If you include information about other people, you are responsible for having any rights or permissions needed to do so.
5. AI features and outputs
Tally may use automated systems and third-party AI providers to help summarize, rewrite, tag, or format your content. AI-generated outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or unsuitable for your situation, so you should review them before relying on them or sharing them externally.
6. Beta features
Tally may offer beta or early-access features. Those features may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time. Beta features are provided on an as-is basis and may not be as reliable as generally available features.
7. Fees and changes
Some parts of Tally may be free, and some may require payment now or in the future. If we introduce paid plans or materially change pricing, we will present those terms to you before charging you. Unless stated otherwise, fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
8. Intellectual property
The Tally service, including its design, branding, software, and content created by us, is protected by intellectual property laws. Except for the limited right to use the service under these terms, we reserve all rights in and to Tally.
9. Third-party services
Tally may rely on third-party tools and services, including hosting, analytics, authentication, payment, and AI providers. We are not responsible for third-party services or content that we do not control.
10. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate your access if we reasonably believe you violated these terms, created risk for other users, or exposed Tally to legal or security harm. You may stop using Tally at any time.
11. Disclaimers
Tally is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted or error-free operation. We do not guarantee that Tally will always be secure, accurate, or available.
12. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Tally and its operators will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenues, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tally will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us for the service during the 12 months before the claim arose or $100 USD.
13. Indemnity
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Tally and its operators from claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your content, your misuse of the service, or your violation of these terms or applicable law.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Tally operator is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. Venue for any dispute will lie in the courts serving that jurisdiction, unless applicable law requires otherwise.
15. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will post the updated terms here and update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of Tally after the updated terms take effect means you accept the revised terms.
